On September 19, 2019 a Workshop was held between BgMVO and IT providers of pharmaceutical software in Bulgaria.
Illiana Paunova, Executive Director of BgMVO, summarised the work of the Bulgarian Medicines Verification System for the seven months since 9 February 2019 when it was launched and presented the draft amendments to the Medicinal Products in Human Medicine Act related to Directive 2011/62/EU.
Mr. Charles Young, a representative of Solidsoft Reply - the company selected to implement and maintain the European Hub and the National Medicines Verification System in Bulgaria introduced the new system functionalities in R5 and R6 releases, which will be implemented by the end of 2019, as well as the requirement to IT suppliers to reflect the changes in their software applications.
Nikolay Enchev, BgMVO IT Operations Manager, summarised the technical errors in the end users' transactions in the system that are the reason for receiving alerts and provided practical recommendations for reducing and eliminating them.
Denitsa Koynova, BgMVO consultant, and Nikolay Enchev presented the operational indicators for the BgMVS operation, including statistics on connected users and analysis of the alerts.
Nina Nikolova, BgMVO Customer Relations Manager, jointly with Katerina Kozhuharova, Team Leader at Modis Bulgaria, presented the role of BgMVO Contact Centre in information services and assistance to end users in their use of the verification system.
The meeting was attended mostly by representatives of IT providers of pharmaceutical software in Bulgaria, as well as representatives of the Bulgarian Drug Agency and the Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Union.
