The 13th National Conference in Hospital Pharmacy took place during 18th to 20th of October 2019 and was organized by the Professional Organisation of Hospital Pharmacists.

Topic of the Conference was “Participating in national and international projects - a way to raise the level of hospital pharmacy in Bulgaria”.

Medicines verification was important topic in the Conference with two presentations and discussion.

Ms. Nina Nikolova, BgMVO Customer Relations Manager and Mr. Nikolay Enchev, BgMVO IT Operations Manager summarized the work of the Bulgarian Medicines Verification System after 9th of February 2019 by showing results from the latest EMVO monitoring report and emphasized on the alert management process.

Mr. Rob Moss, Director of Professional Development EAHP summarized the implementation process of Directive 2011/62/EU and verification in Europe with presentation „FMD implementation and verification in Europe: the Good, The Bad and the Ugly“.

The Conference was attended by hospital pharmacists from all over the country, representatives of BDA, BPHU, IT providers of hospital pharmacy software.
