Second part of the conference “Innovations and good practices in the health sector” organized by Capital newspaper was held in a digital format on March 27th, 2021.
Main topics in the agenda were: the future of healthcare sector in the post-COVID-19-era, the situation with treatment of main socially important diseases and patients’ safety. The winners of the annual competition for innovations in Bulgarian medicine were also presented.
Within the patients’ safety panel Mrs. Illiana Paunova, executive director of BgMVO presented the regulatory changes related to the medicines’ verification and the comparative situation with the verification system implementation in Bulgaria and other European countries. She also acquainted the audience with the forthcoming process of COVID-19 vaccines verification.
Participants were informed about the BDA guidelines on alerts management during medicines verification and decommissioning in the Bulgarian Medicines Verification System. These instructions concern both the MAHs and the wholesalers and retailers of medicinal products.
The conference was attended by representatives of hospitals, academia, patient organizations, healthcare institutions, and the pharmaceutical sector.
