On October 21, 2017 in Tryavna, the Bulgarian Medicines Verification Organisation participated in the Eleventh Conference of Hospital Pharmacy. Mrs Illiana Paunova, Executive Director of BgMVO presented “The implementation of Directive 2011/62/EU against falsified medicinal products and the verification system in Bulgaria”.

Mrs Korina Fischer, Director of Business Development, OPTEL Healthcare, Canada presented “Turning an obligation into an opportunity” and recommended very practical approach to serialization and verification in hospitals.

At the meeting were discussed the obligations of hospital pharmacies according to the Directive and Delegated Regulation, the advantages of the National Medicines Verification System and the implementation plan of the Directive in Bulgaria.
